Diode의 종류

Diode(다이오드)란?

Diode(다이오드)는 전류를 한쪽 방향으로만 흐르게 만들어주는 반도체 소자입니다. 다이오드는 P형 반도체와 N형 반도체가 접합된 구조(P-N 접합)로 이루어져 있으며, 이로 인해 정류 작용(rectification)이 발생합니다.

 

Diode의 종류

Diode에는 어떤 종류들이 있는지 알아보겠습니다.

Rectifier Diode

- 전류가 한쪽 방향으로만 흐르도록 만들어진 반도체

- A rectifier diode is a two-lead semiconductor that allows current to pass in only one direction.

Zener Diode

- Zener Voltage라 불리는 역전압 이상에서 동작하도록 만들어진 Diode

- A Zener diode is a special type of diode designed to reliably allow current to flow "backwards" when a certain set reverse voltage, known as the Zener voltage, is reached.

Schottky Diode

- PN 접합 다이오드보다 순방향전압강하(forward voltage)가 적고 고속 스위칭 애플리케이션에 사용할 수 있는 금속-반도체 접합 다이오드

- Schottky diode is a metal-semiconductor junction diode that has less forward voltage drop than the P-N junction diode and can be used in high-speed switching applications.

LED ( Light Emitting Diode )

- 전압을 인가하면 빛이 나는 다이오드

- a semiconductor diode that emits light when a voltage is applied

Bridge Diode

TVS ( Transient Voltage Suppressor ) Diode

- EFT(전기적으로 빠른 과도 전류) 및 ESD(정전기 방전)와 같은 과도(transients) 및 과전압(overvoltage)으로부터 전자 회로를 보호하도록 설계된 보호 다이오드

- protection diode designed to protect electronic circuits against transients and overvoltage threats such as EFT (electrically fast transients) and ESD (electro-static discharge).
