How to install DaVinci Resolve on Ubuntu

You can install DaVinci Resolve on Ubuntu by following these steps:

 

1. Go to the official website of Blackmagic Design, the company that produces DaVinci Resolve.

 

2. Download the Linux version of DaVinci Resolve that corresponds to your system architecture (i.e., 64-bit or ARM64).

 

3. Once the download is complete, open the terminal and navigate to the folder where the installation file is located.

 

4. Unzip the installation package by running the following command:

    tar -xvf DaVinci_Resolve_*.tar.gz

    Replace DaVinci_Resolve_*.tar.gz with the actual name of the installation package you downloaded.

 

5. Navigate to the extracted folder and run the installation script by entering the following command:

    sudo ./DaVinci_Resolve_*.run

    Again, replace DaVinci_Resolve_*.run with the name of the actual installation file.

 

6. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation process.

 

Once the installation is complete, you can launch DaVinci Resolve from the applications menu or by entering the command davinci-resolve in the terminal.
